I teach physical education

Yes.
Why did you become a teacher?
I worked in the private sector for a number of years (I actually worked at the Boston Globe for a long time) and dreamed about getting into teaching for a long time. I’ve always wanted to coach and work in athletics, so the position I’m in now is perfect.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are playing soccer and golf, and reading, but I rarely get time to do any of them because I have two young children.
So far, what have YOU learned this year?
I’ve learned how to manage my time better over the course of the first month, meaning getting in to school about 60-75 minutes before the students arrive to prepare for the coming day.
